Check out this new spaza remix of the Kanye West classic, ‘Jesus Walks’, from his debut album, ‘The College Dropout’ in 2004. The track was produced by Kanye West himself and won a Grammy for ‘Best Rap Song’. Driemanskap’s Redondo gives the track a spaza reworking with his trademark rugged flow and passionate delivery.

While we were on the Ben Sharpa / Pure Solid 4DLS tour in Europe we listened to Paradise Circus by Massive Attack pretty much every day. With the silky vocals of Hope Sandoval, it was the track that helped clear our hangovers as we started our journey to the next show and the soundtrack to almost every arrival in a new town, making every new place seem magical.
We wanted Ben to add a verse as memory of the tour to personalise it for us. I hope we don’t get sued by EMI UK – it’s their copyrighted material after all. I would urge you to buy the original if you don’t already own it. It’s on Heligoland.

Pioneer Unit’s dub warriors, Pure Solid, have been busy in the lab for the past few weeks. Following the release of their double-EP, Ghetto Dubs, they have been working on their live show (live audio plus bespoke live visuals) and grinding out new riddims.

Pure Solid played their first show at Cold Turkey a few weeks ago (which you can listen to, and download below). Their dub-based sound doesn’t fit neatly into any particular category – it contains influences of roots, hip hop, grime, acid and Detroit techno – they call it Robot Army Music (RAM).
